Katie O is a songwriter from LaGrange, Georgia. They have been writing music since 2014. Katie’s writing is intimate, lyric-focused, and authentic in its portrayal of the heady highs and gritty lows of life. Their music is influenced by their love of storytellers such as Anaïs Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and Adrianne Lenker. In 2021, Katie moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue a Bachelor of Arts’ Degree in Songwriting at Berklee College of Music. They have been awarded the Berklee World Tour Scholarship, Cliff Bradley Endowed Scholarship, Berklee Grant, and Songwriting Achievement Scholarship. Katie has played at various venues and festivals in both Georgia and Massachusetts including the Hillside Music Festival, Rockweave Music Festival, Berklee Earthapalooza, and several writers’ rounds at Purelife House of Music. Katie O is also running the Think like a Songwriter summer camp this June at Purelife House of Music.
